HELLO INTERNET!

Hey everyone!

I'm Brittany and I am working with the Centre for Responsible Citizenship in the Beyond "U" program. I am a fourth year History and Business student at UW (St. Jerome's enrolled!) and I have been previously involved in much of St. Jerome's life. Most recently, I volunteered this summer in Francistown, Botswana, an amazing opportunity made possible by the Beyond Borders program.

Beyond "U" is such an AMAZING program here offered at St. Jerome's and I am so happy that we can all be a part of it together! It is so important to be aware and involved with issues and organizations within your community, it is the first step to being a better global citizen.

I set up this blog as a way to for all of us to be connected in the same place. We can read each others blogs for inspiration, gain a sense of community within the volunteers and of course for some light reading! I will be posting on information about the program, new developments, and of course about the work that I will be doing.

So PLEASE ask me questions, I am ready to help in any way possible, just ask!! (placement questions, blog guidlines.. etc.)
